MicBee Transportation offers a range of services to support individuals looking to start or grow their careers in the trucking industry.
Through our Behind the Wheel Training, aspiring commercial drivers can get the hands-on experience and knowledge needed to prepare for their CDL exam. MicBee Transportation offers a comprehensive Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) training program geared toward preparing individuals for a lucrative career in the transportation industry. Our program simultaneously covers theoretical knowledge and practical skills, making sure that every trainee is equipped to handle the demands of driving a commercial vehicle. We emphasize safety regulations and vehicle maintenance to create responsible and competent drivers.
Traveling for CDL training with MicBee Transportation allows trainees to gain invaluable exposure to various road conditions and terrains, significantly enhancing their driving skills. We ensure our trainees are familiar with interstate driving, mountain terrains, city traffic, and adverse weather conditions. This broad exposure and our rigorous training curriculum ensure our trainees are industry-ready and confident to embark on their transportation career.
We come to your company and help you grow CDL drivers from the people you already have — or from newly hired employees who have been vetted and have some time in your organization.
MicBee Transportation’s Train the Trainer program is built for companies that want to move trusted people into driving positions. That may be employees already on the yard, the dock, the warehouse, or another role. It may also be newly hired people who have been vetted and have spent some time with your company. We train your senior drivers to train your people on the job, so new drivers learn your equipment, your routes, and your standards while they keep contributing to the work.
Sending people away to a school takes them off the job and brings them back as licensed drivers who still have to learn your operation. Training in-house works the other way around. These are people who already know — or are learning — the company. We help you get them licensed while they stay on site, practice in your environment, and remain productive during training.
The result is a driver who is ready for your trucks — not just ready for a test.
Every company is set up differently. We do not run one rigid course. We come on site and build a plan around your people, your schedule, and how much support you want from us. Most companies use one of the three options below — or a mix of them.
We come in and train one or more of your top drivers to train your own personnel. Those senior drivers then work with employees who want their CDL, giving them behind-the-wheel time on the job. Before test day, we return to evaluate those trainees, confirm they are ready, and help close any gaps.
This is the best fit when you already have strong drivers who can mentor, and you want a lasting in-house training capability.
We come in for a day to help your employee get their commercial learner’s permit. After that, they spend time behind the wheel with a senior driver at your plant or facility. When they have that practice time in, we come back and run the finish-up training that prepares them to take the CDL skills test.
This is the best fit when your company can provide supervised wheel time and you want MicBee involved at the two points that matter most: getting started and getting test-ready.
We come on site for a longer block — usually about two or three weeks — and take a trainee from the beginning through test day. We train them completely, take them to the test site, and get them tested. After they pass, your senior personnel handle the mentorship training so the new driver can settle into the actual job and the way your company runs.
This is the best fit when you need someone licensed quickly and want MicBee to carry the training from ground zero to the test.
A CDL is the starting point, not the finish line. Once your employee is licensed, your senior personnel handle the mentorship training so the new driver can settle into the actual job and the way your company runs. That is the advantage of growing drivers from inside the organization. They already belong. The license just lets you put them where you need them.
Tell us how many people you want to move into driving positions and how much of the training you want handled by your own senior drivers. We will recommend the option that fits your operation.
